Astro Places is starting a new chapter. I’m rebuilding the chat client and server from the ground up, with the goal of bringing the client to Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Rather than waiting until every feature from the current client is ready, I’m considering an initial release focused on the essentials: avatars, chatrooms, instant messages, and the ability to ignore other users. From there, I hope to add features through smaller updates, shaped in part by what the community would like to see added back.
I’m still working through the roadmap, so there’s no release date or final feature list to share yet. The existing service remains available while I work on what’s next. I’d love to hear which features matter most to you.
Thanks for being part of Astro Places.
Happy Chatting!
